"Kids grow up so fast!" I know this because, I'm a mom too. I have a 13-year-old son and I can't seem to figure out where the time went! I look back at toddler photos and often wonder if I documented enough. So now, I do my best to be present in the moment, as well as capture the "in-between" moments as much as I can.

Because I know how quickly the time goes, I don't like to rush my family sessions. These range anywhere from thirty minutes to over an hour, just depends on the kiddos!

I prefer to capture children (and adults) in their element, at whatever stage they are at. For this reason, I don't spend too much time trying to get them to smile, but rather have you interact with them for more candid-style documentation. Lifestyle in-home sessions are great for this! But, I also love making magic outdoors too; this usually takes a little more time for them to warm up, but it's totally worth the wait.
